Celebrating books and reading, Books on Bywong is a new regular book club hosted by Sally Wilson. Each month a guest author will take readers behind the scenes of their book, discussing their inspiration, writing process and publishing journey, as well as their top reading recommendations.
There is no obligation to have read the book, simply come along to enjoy bookish conversation, pick up some new book recommendations and enjoy a relaxed evening at West Toowong Bowls Club. And of course, the bar will be open!
The guest author in November is Carly-Jay Metcalfe. Carly-Jay will be talking about her incredible memoir, Breath, and sharing her summer reading and Christmas book gifting recommendations.
On the last Thursday of each month the West Toowong Bowls Club is home to our ever popular Trivia Night! (Bookings are a must..)
The Bistro is open from 5.30pm but the Club itself is open all afternoon so feel free to come early and plan your strategy over a few drinks and maybe a game of pool!
Trvia kicks off from around 6.30 – 6.45pm and all question sheets are provided on arrival.
