The West Toowong Bowls Club is honoured to once again be hosting our Annual Bowling For Millie Community Day, Raising funds in Support of Epilepsy QLD.

Who are Epilepsy QLD?
Epilepsy Queensland is a not-for-profit organisation providing support, information, services and programs to all Queensland children and adults affected by epilepsy, as well as their families, friends, employers and carers.
For 50 years, they have been dedicated to building a Queensland that prioritises brain health, bringing hope to people with epilepsy.
Who is Millie?
I think that introduction would be best done by the creator and driving force behind Bowling for Millie, our local butcher and dear friend, Tim Walsh.
“Hello Friends,
I would like to introduce you to my daughter Millie who just turned 21.
She loves art, music and dancing.
Millie was born with Epilepsy and experiences regular seizures daily. Unfortunately, her seizures are not able to be controlled by medication, having a profound impact on her life.
Millie’s family have always been there, providing the support she needs.

Bowling for Millie day is about giving back to Epilepsy Queensland, so they can continue to help other families in need.
After 21 years of watching Millie suffer with this horrendous disease, this is Millie’s way of giving back to Epilepsy Queensland so they can provide care and support that families need.”
Thank you,
-Tim.
The day includes a number of fantastic attractions, including the ever popular Mega Meat Tray Raffle, not to mention the top-prize auctions, where amongst other things, some extraordinary sporting memorabilia will be up for grabs.

Last year we were thrilled to have raised an astounding $13,285.43 for Epilepsy Queensland, and with your support we’re hoping to do it again this year!
So Come on down, on Sunday 23rd of March for The West Toowong Bowls Club’s Annual Bowling for Millie Community day, Jump on the green for the Barefoot Bowls Comp, enjoy some Live Music, get involved in the Raffles and the Auctions, grab a snag and a beer, and help us to support a great cause that is near and dear to our hearts.
We sincerely hope to see you there!
